We are excited to share that Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) has been selected for our next community partnership, the signature program of RevGenerosity. The community partnership is the embodiment of RevGen’s why statement: we believe in empowering people – employees, clients, and those within our communities – so we may all aspire to be more.
The community partnership provides financial, volunteer, in-kind, and pro-bono support to DSF while providing RevGeners opportunities to build skills, learn about the needs of the community, and take pride in making a difference.
The partnership process starts with engaging a team of RevGeners to identify and assess an initial list of non-profit candidates with whom RevGen has had some prior engagement and which meet our criteria of: (1) a mission to empower people through education, which might include STEM, literacy, and/or social emotional learning; and (2) a demonstrated commitment to serving historically underserved and discriminated populations (especially people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities) in the Denver Metro Area.
As an organization that realizes the value of education and provides young people with the necessary tools for success, Denver Scholarship Foundation is the perfect partner for RevGen. The team then invites a short list of candidates to learn more about us and share how they would be a good fit in this mutually beneficial partnership. The most difficult part of the selection process is winnowing down the incredibly deserving organizations as they all serve critical roles in our community.
We immediately kicked off our partnership with DSF by including them in our 16th Anniversary Celebration through Service as several RevGeners volunteered at DSF’s Scholar Summit. Discussions are underway to solidify a pro-bono project to bring our data and analytics expertise to their IT department and we are also planning back-to-school and holiday volunteer efforts and in-kind drives that support DSF’s mission and the needs of the students they serve.
